Lyons among 197 teams recognized for academic excellence.

The Wheaton College women's cross country team has been named to the 2012 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Cross Country Team list, it was announced earlier this week.
The Lyons posted a 3.48 cumulative grade point average (GPA) which ranked fourth overall among all New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) teams listed.
Academically, juniors Lauren Andres (Branford, Conn./Branford) and Shoshana Kruskal (Newton, Mass./Newton North) and sophomore Sonrisa O'Toole (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) all earned NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors this past fall to highlight the squad in the classroom. As a team, Wheaton finished fourth overall at the NEWMAC Championships and 15th overall at the NCAA Division III New England Championships.
