July 19 5:27 p.m. - During a well being check on Washington Street, an armed man was located in a backyard. Police closed the roads in the area and train traffic was stopped. The man, Arthur Mellen, 53, of Norwood, was transported to Norwood Hospital and later charged with a firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes, firearm larceny, carrying a firearm without a license (third offense), and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. July 21 3:40 p.m. - Following a car crash on Brookview Circle, William Burton, 47, of Longview, Texas, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (fifth offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 4:16 p.m. - Eugene Holderman, 50, of Hanson, was arrested on Pleasant Street on a warrant. <hr />Image: File Photo
