Join us on Wednesday, December 17 from 12:00-2:00pm for Community 
Connections @ the Library, a monthly drop-in gathering hosted by 
Riverside Community Care on the third Wednesday of each month in the 
Morrill Memorial Library's Simoni Room. Each month highlights new ways 
to get connected, and for our December session we'll focus on identifying local supports and community resources available to you.
Community
 Connections @ the Library is designed to help residents learn about 
local resources, programs, and opportunities for personal growth and 
well-being. Meet with a community coach, enjoy friendly conversation, 
and discover ways to strengthen your connection to the people and 
supports around you. Drop in, bring your lunch or a coffee, and discover
 tools in your community that promote balance, resilience, and 
wellness. All are welcome, and all questions are welcome - regardless of each month's highlighted topic.

 is a pilot program through the Norfolk County 8 Collaborative, funded 
by participating communities using settlement funds from opioid 
manufacturers, distributors, and pharmacies.

Join us on Thursday, December 18th at 6:30PM for a FREE public ice show to witness some of the best skaters in the country perform as they gear up to head to the 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. U.S. champions will be crowned in the women’s, men’s, pairs and ice dance disciplines at the championship and junior levels, as well as novice pairs and ice dance at the event. The U.S. Championships also will serve as the final qualifying event prior to the selection of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA at the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026.

 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships Send-Off Exhibition

The Skating Club of Boston, New England’s premier center for figure skating, is hosting a National Send-Off showcase on Thursday, December 18th at 6:30 pm for their local skaters heading to the <a href="https://stlsports.org/special-event/2026-us-figure-skating-championships/tickets/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships</a>
in St. Louis, Missouri, January 5-11. This event is an important, final qualifier for making the U.S. Figure Skating Olympic team for senior athletes.
The Club will have 18 skaters in the senior and junior competitions. The National Send-Off is a free and open to the public event which is an opportunity for the local community to check out skating programs and wish skaters luck in the nation’s top competition. On Sunday, January 11th, senior skaters will be named to the U.S. Figure Skating’s national team to compete at the 2026 Olympics. Some of these very same Bostonians will be vying for a spot on the team.
The National Send-Off event will be held at The Tenley E. Albright Performance Center at The Skating Club of Boston. The Center is located at 750 University Ave. in Norwood, MA, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Boston.Admission and parking are free. This month for Crafting at the Movies we will be watching "Legally Blonde" (2001, PG-13) on Tuesday, 12/30 at 6:30-8:00pm. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft).

Norwood Seed Library, in 
partnership with the Morrill Memorial Library, is excited to announce a 
workshop on winter sowing at the library. The event is called Native Plants- Winter Sowing Basics and will take place on Saturday January 3, 2026 at 10am in the Simoni Room.


Join us for a hands-on workshop about winter seed sowing and the 
benefits of adding native plants to your yard. They are a favorite of 
the bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators! Native seeds that 
have evolved in the New England climate often require cold 
stratification. Participants will plant two milk jugs with native seeds 
and learn how to winter sow seeds; no gardening experience is required. 
Supplies will be provided.


About the presenter: Kelsey Quinlan is a Norwood resident and 
gardener. She volunteers on the town Conservation Commission and 
Sustainability Committee.
This program is open to all. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.
