"Tyler Lawrence was well-loved and a valuable member of our Coakley community," Norwood Public Schools Superintendent David Thomson said.

NORWOOD, MA – A student at Coakley Middle School died unexpectedly Sunday, Norwood Public Schools Superintendent David Thomson said in a news release Tuesday.
"Tyler Lawrence was well-loved and a valuable member of our Coakley community," Thomson wrote in the release. "His bright smile was on display every morning, and he made friends wherever he went. He was an avid basketball player, and enjoyed sports and being outside."
Thomson said that the district is making counselors available in all school buildings today and in the next several days so that students, faculty, and staff may come together, support one another, and heal.
