Fire At Norwood Home Causes $40,000 In Damage

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one room.

NORWOOD, MA — A house fire was contained to one room thanks to a quick response from Norwood Fire.

At 7:15 p.m. Monday night, Norwood Police responded to the fire on Concord Avenue. Responding crews found smoke emitting from the home and the building evacuated, according to Norwood Fire.

Firefighters contained the blaze to a room on the first floor with a fast attack, while Ladder 1 provided coordinated ventilation and a primary search.
