1. Norwood Mustang football held a scrimmage this week against the King Philip Warriors to prepare for the season.

2. There will be a two-day rummage sale at Grace Episcopal Church, today from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Clothing items available include jeans, slacks, blouses, dresses, tops, jackets, shoes, boots and more. All proceeds benefit church ministries.

3. Norwood VFW Post 2452 is holding a Patriots ticket raffle this coming weekend. First prize includes tickets to regular season games with parking in a private lot and a "celebrity tent party" three hours before the game. Second prize will be $500. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at the  

4. The Norwood Theater will be opening this weekend, and there will be two free showings of the 1964 classic "Mary Poppins" on Sunday, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Seats will be first come, first served.
