Letter to the Editor: Thanks from the Norwood Cultural Council

The council would like to extend thanks to everyone who joined their fundraiser last month at the Colonial House restaurant.

Dear Editor:

On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to extend a public thank you to everyone who joined us on June 21 for a fundraising event to benefit the Norwood Cultural Council at The Colonial House Restaurant in the neighborhood on Savin Ave. The evening was a great success, and we are pleased to report $265.00 was raised.

Part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council Program, the Norwood Cultural Council helps make possible artist presentations and enrichment programs in Norwood schools, concerts at the Senior Center, author lectures at the Morrill Memorial Library, and more. Proceeds from the June 21 event will help us continue to support such worthwhile programs again this year.

I would also like to recognize and thank Joanne Roof from The Colonial House Restaurant on Savin Ave. for partnering with us on this event, as well as Rita, Pauline, and Kris for taking such good care of our guests.

Thank you one and all for your support!
