Norwood 150 Gets The Word Out About Upcoming Anniversary

The Norwood 150 Committee spread the word about year-long town celebration at Saturday's Norwood Day festival.

NORWOOD, MA - The Norwood 150th booth at Norwood Day on Saturday attracted many visitors interested in the town's past history and future promise as its planning committee members collected ideas and sold promotional items.

"We sold commemorative souvenirs: beer glasses, coffee mugs, ornaments, canvas tote bags, and copies of Patty Fanning's new book, 'Keeping the Past: Norwood at 150,'" according to Katie Neal-Rizzo, Norwood 150th Publicity Subcommittee Co-Chair.

These items will be available for purchase at future Norwood 150th events, she added.

Members collected ideas for a "Norwood 150th Bucket List" we are creating, which will list 150 of the top "must-do" things in town, according to Neal-Rizzo, with "trying a Lewis' burger" at the top.

A photo booth complete with signs with captions generated interest in the 150th birthday.
