Norwood Adds 'Stop And Look' Signs At Street Crossings
Following the latest pedestrian crossing death in April, the town wants to remind people to look both ways before crossing the street.

NORWOOD, MA — Following the most recent fatal pedestrian crash in town, Norwood officials want to remind residents to be careful while crossing the street.
General Manager Tony Mazzucco told the selectmen Tuesday that workers for the department of public works have installed "stop and look" signs at crosswalks around town to encourage pedestrians to look before they cross the street.
"There's a lot of reasons why we're seeing an increase in pedestrian accidents across the country, it's not just Norwood, but it's important for everyone to remember pedestrian safety," Mazzucco said. "I know it's the basics but we need people to stop and look both ways."
