Norwood Assistant Principal Finalists For Milford Job

Purnima Vadhera is one of three finalists for the Milford High School assistant principal opening.

NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood assistant principal is among three finalists for the Milford High School assistant principal opening.

Purnima Vadhera, an assistant principal at Norwood High School, is among the final three candidates, the Milford Public Schools announced Monday. Amy Marshall, the coordinator for curriculum, instruction and technology at Assabet Valley Collaborative and Christine Ravesi-Weinstein, a science teacher at Attleboro High School are also up for the job.

The person who is offered the job will succeed Sissela Tucker, who was promoted to associate principal, according to a press release.

The opening attracted 47 applicants, 13 of which were interviewed.

Amy Marshall currently serves as the Coordinator for Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology at Assabet Valley Collaborative, a position she has held for the past two years. Prior to that, Ms. Marshall was an English teacher in Uxbridge for 16 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College, a Master of Education Degree in English from Framingham State University, and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Endicott College. Ms. Marshall is also certified as a Principal/Assistant Principal at the high school level.

Christine Ravesi-Weinstein currently serves as a faculty member in the Science Department at Attleboro High School, a position she has held for the past 15 years, and additionally serves as that high school’s Science Department Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, her Master of Education Degree with a focus on Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University, and she has done postgraduate coursework in Educational Leadership at Bridgewater State University.

Purnima Vadhera currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Norwood High School, a position she has held for the last three years. She has also served as the Assistant Principal at both Maynard High School and Newton South High School and was a Biology teacher at Brighton High School for ten years. She holds a Master of Education Degree in Administration Planning & Social Policy from Harvard University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Science from Boston University and she is currently enrolled in a Doctoral Program in Leadership at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Ms. Vadhera is also licensed as an Assistant Principal/Principal for grades K-12.
