Norwood Library Holds First Peeps Diorama Contest In April
The Morrill Memorial Library is sponsoring the contest to invite residents to take a closer look at literary figures.
NORWOOD, MA - The Morrill Memorial Library is sponsoring its first-ever Peeps Diorama Contest mext month, encouraging learning about authors through the use of the classic Easter candy.
Contestants can pick up a Peeps starter pack at the children's library desk between Tuesday, April 19 and Monday, April 25. It includes a package of candy as well as basic craft supplies for the diorama.
The theme of the contest is "Literary Peeple." The dioramas are not limited in size. However, they must pertain to this theme and be able to completely fit within the frame of a photograph. Photos of completed dioramas must be emailed to Adult Services Librarian Heath Umbreit at humbreit@minlib.net no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26.

No time to create a masterpiece of your own or be creative with your confection? No problem! Support the contestants by coming into the library, checking out photos of the entries, and voting for your favorites! You can also log on to social media to “Like” and comment on photos.
Registration is required by going to this link or by calling (781) 769-0200 x2. Limit one registration per household, please, as supplies are limited.

The photos will be shared on the library's website for voting beginning on Wednesday, April 27. Voting will conclude on Wednesday, May 4. Online votes are encouraged to show solidarity, but only in-person votes will be used to determine the “Peeple’s Choice” winners. There will also be a "Staff Favorite" category.
