Norwood Library Offers Workshops To Make Holiday Gifts Festive

NORWOOD, MA - The Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood will be hosting two workshops on how to decorate holiday gifts.

Make Your Own Bows workshop

On Thursday, December 16 at either 2 p.m. or at 3 p.m., learn how to make your own custom gift bows. The workshop will be led by Marg Corjay, an experienced floral designer and former floral shop owner, local textile artisan, and DIY craft maven.

Learn how to make several classic and creative bows perfect for use as gift toppers, on wreaths, and with other holiday decorations. Bow styles will be created using ribbon, wire, and fabric, and Corjay will demonstrate how to easily create your own fabric ribbons using larger fabric samples.

Materials will be provided, or feel free to bring your own ribbon or fabric if you have material at home you love and have been waiting to use. If bringing your own fabric sample, please make sure it's at least 1/2 yard by 1 yard.

Both sessions will cover the same topics, so sign up for either one. This workshop is intended for people ages 14 and up. Space is limited and registration is required. Make Your Own Cards workshop

Expert card maker and paper artist Betty Saccocia will lead two Make Your Own Cards workshops on Monday, December 20 at 4:00 pm and at 6:00 pm. The same techniques will be covered in both sessions, so sign up for the time that works for you!

Are you hoping to create a last-minute holiday card, or send a special one-of-a-kind message for New Year well wishes? Saccocia will guide you through crafting two unique designs with high-quality materials so you can create professional and personalized card designs. All materials will be provided in this free workshop for people ages 14 and up.
