Norwood Man Arrested For Impersonating An Officer, Solicitation
Mohammed Elawad, 30, of Norwood, was one of two men arrested in Boston Wednesday on charges of solicitation.

NORWOOD, MA - A Norwood man was arrested Wednesday and charged for soliciting women for sex while impersonating a state trooper in Boston in the area known as Mass and Cass, according to state police.
The Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, in conjunction with the Boston Police Human Trafficking Task Force and other BPD officers, conducted operations in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard in Boston, resulting in the arrests of two men attempting to pay women for sexual acts.
One of the men arrested, Mohammed Elawad,30, of Norwood, also claimed to his victim that he was a state trooper and threatened to arrest her if she did not comply with his demands. The victim was able to flee from Elawad's vehicle.

Elawad was charged with paying for sexual conduct and impersonating a police officer.
After arresting Elawad, troopers and officers located evidence in his car corroborating the allegation that he was falsely claiming to be a law enforcement officer, including police stickers and certain clothing.

Also arrested in the same operation was Charles Saia , 70, of Waltham, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct, distribution of a class B narcotic, and possession of a class B narcotic.
Both men were booked at Boston Police District B-2 in Roxbury and were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon. Arraignment results will be released by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office later this afternoon.
