He was a resident of Norwood, Massachusetts at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife Deborah. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 9 a.m. at , Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at . Interment will be private. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Gary E. Sutherland may be made to the Massachusetts Humane Society, Inc., P.O. Box 890127, E. Weymouth, MA 02189.
