Norwood Police Log: Truck Fire, Assault and Battery Arrests

Monday, July 9
8:29 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident at Washington and Hoyle streets. One vehicle towed from the scene. Police filed a report.
11:46 a.m. - Caller reported vandalism to two vehicles on Endicott St. Responding officers reported two state trucks damaged by fire. Massachusetts State Police, State Fire Marshal, and Norwood Police investigating.

5:01 p.m. - Caller on Irving St. reported jewelery missing after house party. Police filed a report.
6:55 p.m. - Caller on Sturtevant Ave. reported two suspicious males, one wearing a white polo and a chain around his neck that appeared to have a police badge hanging from it. Police issued a BOLO to all cars for a white Toyota Corolla last seen headed toward Pond Ave.

9:04 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on Walpole St. One vehicle towed from the scene. Police filed a report.
10:07 p.m. - Caller on Rock St. reported three kids broke into a motor vehicle parked on the street. Officers checked area for kids, filed a report.
10:48 p.m. - Caller on Nahatan St. reported kids in a van with writing on windows and a black pickup truck placed a bunch of items along fence line. Responding officer stated various signs and construction cones. DPW sent and returned items to businesses.
11:03 p.m. - Caller reported domestic disturbance on Burnley Rd. As a result police arrested Gerasimos Ligouris, of Norwood, for assault and battery, and sent a summons for Alex Ligouris, of Dedham, for malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
Tuesday, July 10
12:39 a.m. - Caller reported a domestic disturbance on Bullard St. Responding officers arrested Matthew J. McCormack, of Taunton, for assault and battery.
