Thunderstorms, Flash Floods Possible in Norwood Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms, some possibly severe, could hit Norwood tonight according to the National Weather Service.

Starting around 10 p.m. Thursday, the NWS is predicting a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms for the Norwood area. Some storms may be severe, with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.

A flash flood warning has also been issued starting at 4 p.m. Thursday and continuing through Friday morning.

The forecast for the weekend is more of the same for local residents, with heavy rain and thunderstorms predicted through Saturday night.

Already Thursday night's has been moved indoors to the due to the weather.
