Car Break-In Arrest Made Over Weekend

A 17-year-old was arrested in Salem after trying to break into a car on Eagan Place early Saturday morning.

Peabody, MA - A 17-year-old was arrested for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Eagan Place early Saturday morning thanks to a call from an area resident.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, police got a call from an Eagan Place resident stating that there were two people in a parking area trying to open car doors.

One of the suspects, described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, fled on foot toward Aborn Street.

Salem police were notified that the suspect was headed toward their city, where he was soon arrested.

The 17-year-old juvenile was charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the nighttime to commit a felony.
