Fallen Peabody Police Officer Honored in D.C.
Officer Edward "Scotty" Johansen's name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The Peabody Police announced that officers traveled with Chief Griffin to Washington D. C. to recognize Officer Edward “Scotty” Johansen as his name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
Officer Johansen died as a result of a disease he contracted while performing mouth-to-mouth CPR on a suspect he had just arrested.
A ceremony will be held outside at the Peabody Police Station, beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday June 28. This is the twenty-ninth anniversary of his passing.
