North Shore Veterans Receive Christmas Trees

A Woburn company donated 35 Christmas trees to area veterans and their families for the holidays.

NORTH SHORE, MA – U.S. Pavement of Woburn donated 35 Christmas trees this year for veterans in Salem and Peabody with the help of the cities' veterans agents.

Salem Veterans Agent Kim Emerling said the company also donated 75 turkeys to veterans in Salem, Peabody, Danvers, and Beverly, and host a day at Fenway for local veterans in June. The day includes a tour of the park and a game.

U.S. Pavement President Mike Musto and organizer Bob Pappalardo help put together the events each year.

"This is about the fourth year we've been involved with them," said Emerling. "It's always great." He said a tree or turkey dinner can help lighten the load of needy families during the holidays.
