Peabody 2017 Election Calendar
Mark your calendars: There's a mayoral race in Peabody (uncontested so far), and several City Council races.

PEABODY, MA – The deadline to register in the preliminary election, scheduled for Sept. 12, is coming up in August, and the city biennial election is slated for November. Mark your calendars!
Here's the Peabody election calendar, courtesy of the City Clerk's office. Candidates' nomination papers aren't due until July 25, but a list of candidates will be posted after the deadline.
Friday, July 21: Last day for candidates to take out nomination papers.

Tuesday, July 25: Last day to file all nomination papers and petitions with the Board of Registrars with the City Clerk.
Wednesday, Aug. 9: The names of candidates will be posted.

Thursday, Aug. 10: Last day to file withdrawals or objections to nomination papers.
Wednesday, Aug. 23: Voters must be registered by 8 p.m. to vote in the preliminary election.
Monday, Sept. 11: Applications for absentee ballots must be submitted by 12 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 12: PRELIMINARY ELECTION.
Monday, Sept. 18: A recount must be filed for by 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 18: Voter must be registered by 8 p.m. to vote in the city election.
Monday, Nov. 6: Applications for absentee ballots must be submitted by 12 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 7: CITY BIENNIAL ELECTION.
