PEABODY, MA — The newest L.L. Bean location in Massachusetts — a 20,000-square-foot store at the Northshore Mall in Peabody — will open in early October.
The store is set to host a grand opening celebration on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 with giveaways and special appearances from Red Sox legend and Hall of Famer Jim Rice, the World Series championship trophy and mascot Wally. In honor of its newest store, L.L. Bean will also be making a $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.
"We are honored to further expand our footprint in Massachusetts and equip more residents and visitors for outdoor adventures," said Corey Bouyea, L.L.Bean Vice President of Stores and Retail Operations, in a statement to Patch. "Peabody is a gateway to outdoor activities on the North Shore — whether that's a weekend hike through Lynn Woods Reservation or a fishing excursion at one of the many nearby waterfronts.
