Carjack Victim Tells Media Peabody Double-Murder Suspect Admitted To The Murders

Middleton grandfather escaped when Doughty stopped at Boston liquor store.

PEABODY - A 64-year-old alleged carjacking victim told the media that Peabody double-murder suspect Wes Doughty told him during the drive to Boston that he allegedly killed Mark Greenlaw and his girlfriend Jennifer O'Connor because they allegedly gave heroin to his godfather, CBS Boston reports.

The victim, Ken Metz, of Middleton, says he was carjacked by Doughty at knifepoint at around 7 p.m. on Wednesday outside Hailey's restaurant in Middleton. Metz alleges he was tied up with a seatbelt while Doughty drove the victim's 2006 Honda Accord sedan into Boston.

After driving around for three hours, they stopped at a liquor store in Peabodyand Doughty allegedly drank to the point of intoxication. When they stopped at a liquor store on Tremont Street in Boston, Metz was able to escape. He ran into Good Eats restaurant for help. Metz suffered a cut on his hand and bruises on his neck.

Metz told the media that "he (Doughty) did tell me he wasn't going to harm me after I told him I was going to cooperate with him.'' Metz said he told Doughty he had a wife, four children and eight grandchildren.

"I can't kill you,'' Doughty allegedly told Metz.

Doughty may be driving a gray 2006 Honda Accord four-door sedan with a Massachusetts license plate of 7KLY80.

Doughty should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees him should not approach but rather should immediately call 911 or the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).

Doughty, 39, is wanted for two counts of murder in the Feb. 18 murders ofGreenlaw, 37, and O'Connor, 40, in their Peabody home.

The victims were brutally murdered and their remains were found in the basement of their 19 Farm Ave. home.

Doughty's alleged accomplice, Michael Hebb, 45, of Peabody, was arraigned in Peabody District Court on Tuesday. He was ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty to two counts of murder.
