Peabody Officer Graduates FBI Academy

Captain John DeRosa, Jr., graduated the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, VA.

PEABODY, MA – Peabody Police Captain John DeRosa, Jr., was one of 222 law enforcement officers from around the world that recently graduated from the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, VA.

DeRosa, the department's patrol commander, joins a handful of other Peabody officers to have graduated from the academy. The program offers 11 weeks of communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers.

Officers are chosen based on a track record of proven professionalism, and have 21 years of law enforcement experience on average.

"As with several other command staff within the department that have completed the program, the recent graduation of Captain DeRosa from the FBI Academy continues to display the quality and professionalism of our entire staff," said Peabody Police Chief Tom Griffin.
