Peabody Officer's Foot Run Over During Traffic Detail
The Peabody Police officer has been treated and released for the injury.
PEABODY, MA – A driver ran over a Peabody Police officer's foot on Monday night while the officer was directing traffic.
According to Captain Dennis Bonaiuto, the officer was directing a detour in the area of Lowell Street and Larrabee Terrace for a water main break when an elderly driver didn't follow the detour precisely.
The driver apparently ran over the officer's foot around 9:44 p.m. The officer was transported to Lahey Hospital, treated, and released.
