Peabody Police Reflect On Year Of Community Focus
The department thanked the community for helping to build relationships in a statement, and set goals for the new year.

PEABODY, MA – Peabody Police issued a statement last night to thank residents for connecting with the police department and helping to build relationships between police and the community.
"We have had great success throughout the year responding to citizen tips and feedback that provide imperative information in tackling isolated problematic areas within the city," said Peabody Police Chief Tom Griffin.
The statement said protecting major community events – like the International Festival, the Peabody 100th Anniversary Parade, and Centennial Concert – was possible with partnerships between all emergency departments in Peabody and federal agencies.

"Without building relationships with the community and neighboring agencies these type of major public events would not be possible," said Griffin.
Peabody Police also set the goal of moving forward to address pockets of the city that continue to experience regular crime.
