Peabody Restaurants To Participate In Boston Bakes For Breast Cancer

Pellana Steakhouse and Not Your Average Joe's will help raise money for breast cancer research and care.

PEABODY, MA – Pellana Steakhouse and Not Your Average Joe's will participate in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer to raise money for breast cancer research and care.

This year, from May 8 through May 14, a portion of sales from each restaurant will support Dr. Shom Goel's research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Goel's research focuses on combining immunotherapy and a new class of drugs called CDK4/6 inhibitors to treat breast cancer.

Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer was founded in 2000 by Carol Brownman Sneider in memory of her mother, Eva Brownman, who lost her battle with breast cancer. Since its inception the event has raised more than $1 million. The 18th Annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is dedicated to the memory of Karen Gerry. Karen was the mother of participants Daniel and Daniella Mammola of Pellana Steakhouse in Peabody and Daniella’s Café & Market in Danvers.
