Police Called Over Dispute Involving Unpaid Haircut

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it doesn't indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from June 18-19. 

Tuesday, June 18

  • 2:42 p.m. a caller reported that her car was being struck in the parking lot multiple times. The vehicle then fled. The caller did write down the license plate number and police issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident. 
  • 10:12 p.m. a female reports that her husband was refusing to leave after a verbal argument on Florence Road. Both parties agreed to stay at the home but away from each other. 

Wednesday, June 19

  • 10:04 a.m. a caller reported a past dispute with a neighbor on Collins Street. The caller said that there was a verbal argument between two people about money owed for a haircut. An officer eventually had one woman agree to pay for the haircut when she gets her paycheck the next day. 
  • 11:55 a.m. a caller reported identity fraud on America Drive. 
  • 12:51 p.m. a hit and run was reported at the Holiday Inn on Newbury Street. An unknown vehicle struck the New Jersey-registered vehicle while it was parked in the lot. 
  • 1:38 p.m. fraudulent phone service was reported on Walnut Street. A caller reported that four fraudulent phone lines were attached to her correct number without her knowledge or permission.
