Readers Wanted for an Epic Event

The Peabody Institute Library is looking for readers for a marathon reading of The Iliad in June.

Peabody, MA - The Peabody Institute Library are undertaking an epic task this June, and they are looking for residents who want to take part.

The library is seeking readers and performers who want to take part in The Iliad: An Epic Reading Event. The event takes place on June 18 at Peabody East End Veterans' Memorial Park.

Those who are interested in taking part in the marathon tandem reading of Homer's epic poem are encouraged to stop by on one of two interest days at the library on Main Street. No acting experience is needed to take part, but actors are welcome.

The interest days are on Saturday, April 16 from noon to 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 17 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can register online at www.peabodylibrary.org or call 978-531-0100, ext. 10. Drop-ins are also welcome on the two days.
