Report: OUI Convicts' 'Last Drinks' in Peabody
Court data shows where people who were convicted of drunk driving allegedly had their last drinks.

PEABODY, MA – The Boston Globe recently compiled court data from Jan. 2012 to Sept. 2016, which shows which bars OUI convicts claim served them last before their arrests. Two Peabody strip clubs made the top 20, ranked by how many convicts said had their last drink.
The Cabaret Lounge on Newbury Street allegedly served 24 drunken drivers their last drink, and the Golden Banana, also on Newbury Street, allegedly served 20.
The data doesn't show when each incident is from, so it's possible the clubs have imposed a stricter cutoff since the data set begins, as one bar owner claimed to the Boston Globe. The Alcohol Bureau Control Commission Chief Investigator Ted Mahony told the Globe that some OUI convicts in court may not have been honest about their last drink, but being on the list at all indicates that there's a problem.
