A caller reported hearing 12 loud gunshots and seeing flashes outside his home on Washington Street around 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Police found fireworks debris outside the home.

Marlon J. Gillard, 35, of Salem, was arrested earlier this month on charges of shoplifting from an Andover Street business.

Gilmar Tibaldi, 52, of Malden, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and no inspection sticker after a traffic stop on Newbury Street on Jan. 2.

Officers responded to a report of a fight on Lynnfield Street the morning of Jan. 3 and found it was a young kid who needed her shoe tied and didn't want her brother to help.

Ramon Anthony Martinez, 28, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and threatening to commit a crime after police were called to Central Street on Saturday morning.

Police responded to several reports of emergency parking ban violations on Saturday night during the snowstorm.
