1 Injured, Branch Goes Through Windshield As Car Hits Tree Off I-95 Near Reading
The crash took place early Wednesday morning on I-95 north, according to firefighters.
READING, MA — One person was injured early Wednesday morning after their car crashed into a tree off I-95 near Reading, according to the Reading Fire Local 1640 union.
Local 1640 shared photos from the crash site, showing a tree branch piercing through the car’s windshield within inches of the driver’s seat.
“As you can see, the driver was extremely lucky,” Local 1640 said in a tweet.

The crash took place around 1:30 a.m., according to Local 1640.
Crews arrived on scene to find one car had veered off the road and struck a tree at the bottom of a short embankment on the northbound side of I-95.

The driver was taken to a local trauma center for treatment following the crash, according to Local 1640.
