2nd Alarm Fire Hits Reading Home

READING, MA — Fire hit a Reading home Tuesday afternoon, according to a Reading Firefighters Local 1640 post.

Firefighters responded to the call reporting smoke coming from a Grove Street home just before 3 p.m.

Firefighters arrived to find a house under renovation with smoke showing. The incident was upgraded to a second alarm to bring in additional resources to fight the fire.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze. The fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
