Single Family House Lot for Sale

The Town of Reading is advertising the availability, through public bid, of a single family house lot for sale on Audubon Road in Reading.

The property in question has 17,935 square feet of land, or approximately 1/3 of an acre.  The lot is relatively flat, is not sub-dividable, and can only be used for purposes of a single family house lot. The lot has all utilities available to it. There is a water utility easement along the southerly side.  Driveway access is limited to the Audubon Road frontage. It is located in an established and very desirable residential neighborhood of Reading. The lot is shown as “Lot 1” on the map attached.

The bid packet includes the 21E environmental study for the property, which shows no environmental issues. 

The minimum bid price is $200,000.  Bids are due on June 18, 2013 at 10 am in Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street. The Town intends to award the sale within 30 days of the bid, to the highest qualified bidder. Closing is anticipated within 90 days of the bid award.
