Assault Reported on Salem Street

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Friday through Thursday at noon. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Michael C. Cleary, 25, of 2 William St., Carver was arrested on two warrants on Woburn Street and held without bail.

Friday, Feb. 8

• At 2:22 a.m., an Andover male was held in protective custody until 8:30 a.m.
• At 10:01 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, Feb. 9

• At 4:27 p.m., a male reported that he was stuck in his car in the snow. Police found that he was in Peabody and Peabody police responded.

Sunday, Feb. 10

• At 11:43 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. The accident was minor and no injuries were reported.
• At 3:48 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 3:59 p.m., a caller reported a jacket stolen from the locker room at the Reading Athletic Club.
• At 5:07 p.m., a caller reported that he was assaulted by another motorist. The caller stated that the other party allegedly tapped his hat and bruised his cheek on Salem Street.
• At 8:03 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. The accident was minor.

Monday, Feb. 11

• At 5:23 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 2 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

• At 8:31 a.m., a caller reported a hit and run accident on Main Street. The caller's car was struck by another car that did not stop. No injuries were reported.
• At 11:55 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

• At 10:30 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. The injuries were unknown.
• At 4:58 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, Feb. 14

• At 11:10 a.m., a caller reported that she received a call from her neighbor stating that her son was sitting in his car and the tail pipe was in a snow bank. Police responded to the scene and the mother left work to head there as well. The mother took her son to the hospital.
