Residents React One Month After Marathon Bombings

Residents share how they feel one month after the marathon bombings.

Today marks the one month anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. Residents share how they feel today, and their hopes for the future.

"It's sad to remember how wonderful that day started, much like today, and how awful it ended up," runner Tammy Stapleton said. "I'm trying to focus on all of the wonderful things that happened before the bombings, my team, and the goodness this tragedy has brought out in so many people. Ironically, my finisher's medal was delivered by FedEx today. Counting my blessings today and the days until Boston Marathon 2014."

Runner Glenn Fiore said, "I didn't really realize it has been a month. I'm looking at the time now and it's 10:40 a.m., I would have been in the start coral waiting to begin the race at 10:45. Little did we know how the day would end."

He went on to say that he tried not to let the bombings get him down because that is the "outcome the bombers wanted to achieve; to hurt us and to deny us of feelings of happiness and security."

"I'm back running and looking forward to my first race since the marathon which will be a half-marathon in Boston on Memorial Day weekend, the Boston Run to Remember," he said.
