Break-In Reported on Salem Street in Reading

The following is an excerpt from the log from Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Thursday, August 2
- At 5:53 a.m., a Main Street resident reported mailbox damage.
- At 10:28 a.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported that his car was keyed and house egged.
- At 4:49 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious person on Village Street. Police were unable to locate the person.
- At 6:25 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported that her house was broken into and items were missing. A laptop, camera, lens and $1 was stolen.
- At 10:51 p.m., an employee from the reported a homeless man found in an office. Police told the male that he was not welcome there and transported him to the Stoneham line.
