Chamber of Commerce Hosts Women Celebrating

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce will host its eighth annual Women Celebrating event on Wednesday April 8, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Ballroom of the Woburn Hilton, 2 Forbes Road, Woburn.

There will be more than 35 local exhibitors and residents from Reading, North Reading and other surrounding towns.

“This annual event is a celebration of our vendors and is also a blast,” said Chamber President Lisa DeLeo. “Women Celebrating allows local businesses to be showcased in a creative and fun setting, while offering all who attend a fun and festive night out.”

According to the chamber:

“Women Celebrating 2015 highlights include the popular women’s and men’s fashion shows, featuring styles and accessories from Sterlingwear of Boston and Izzy’s Boutique. GoodHearts Children’s Shop will feature a children’s fashion show to kick of the evening. For the runway, Axle Color Studio and Heavenly Hair will create expert hairstyles for local women models. Back by popular demand is the male fashion show, featuring outerwear from Sterlingwear of Boston with an All-American theme. This year’s event will include entertainment by Music on the Move’s DJ Jason Cheverie and photography will be by JBug Images LLC.

“In addition to the staged events, exhibitors will offer product samples, discount coupons and demonstrations. Check out the many raffle prizes, including a case of assorted wines, a Party on the Patio for ten from Bertucci’s, a Chalk Painting party from Brissonté Gifts and Home Décor, tickets to Stoneham Theatre paired with a restaurant gift certificate, gift baskets, accessories, beauty products and more. A selfie-station will be set up to capture the moments from throughout the evening.

“Food for the event will be provided by local eateries Bertucci’s, Sweet K Cookies, Horseshoe Grille, Ryers, Sanborn Place, Home Care & Day Services, Oye’s Restaurant, Laurie’s 9:09 and more. Specialty martinis and a cash bar will also be featured.
