East Boston Resident Arrested on Charges of Indecent Assault and Battery

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Monday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 1:29 p.m. Wednesday, a woman walked into the police station to report that her son had his genitalia inappropriately groped at Market Basket on March 17. As a result of the call, Leonardo T. Jimenez, 45, of 190 Paris St., East Boston was arrested on charges of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

Monday, March 18

  • At 8:52 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Hopkins Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 12:20 p.m., a Washington Street resident reported that his car was scratched overnight.

Tuesday, March 19

  • At  8:19 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Intervale Terrace. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, March 20

  • At 4:39 a.m., an officer reported to the Shell Station on Walkers Brook Drive because a customer was threatening an employee. The customer thought his card was charged twice, but it was not and the situation was resolved.
  • At 10:24 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Haverhill Street. The injuries were unknown.
  • At 11:34 a.m., a Curtis Street resident reported seeing males in black hoodies in her backyard. Police checked the area, but did not see anyone and did not find any footprints in the snow.
  • At 1:25 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. The accident was minor.
  • At 1:38 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, March 21

  • At 2:12 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious male on Chequesette Road going door to door. Police found that the male was distributing information regarding the upcoming election.
