Today is Friday, March 8. Here are five things to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 37 degrees today with a low of 27. Expect partly cloudy skies.

2. Father/daughter dance. The FORR Father/Daughter dance will be held at Walter S. Parker Middle School at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5.

3. Midsummer Night's Dream. The Reading Memorial High School drama club will perform Midsummer Night's Dream at RMHS at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $14.

4. Painting group. Do you love to paint? Join other residents at the Reading Senior Center for a painting group at 10 a.m. Bring your own supplies.

5. Country music night. The North Reading Bring Back the 4th committee is hosting a fundraiser at the Hillview Country Club from 7 to 11 p.m. The Herland Brothers, a local act who performed at Countryfest and will appear with Jason Aldean this summer at Fenway, will perform. The tickets are $30.
