Hot Off the T: Shakespeare On The Common

  • : The play, "Bug" sounds pretty disturbing, but maybe in a good way? The gist: A cocktail waitress invites a Gulf War veteran to her seedy motel room and strangeness ensues. On Saturday at 8 p.m. at  in the South End. Tickets cost $5-$15 and can be purchased here.
    Take the commuter rail to North Station, then  the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and then walk 15 minutes to the theater.
  • WINSLOW HOMER ILLUSTRATIONS: On display at the Boston Public Library. Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 50 illustrations of rural life in America, the brutality of the Civil War, and the changing roles of women.
