House Broken Into on Linwood Avenue in North Reading

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 9:32 a.m. Wednesday, Robert J. Svehla, 53, of 5 Sandra Ln. was arrested on Sandra Lane on a warrant.

At 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aaron M. Cantrell, 24, of 46 Main St. #4 was arrested on Main Street on a warrant. 

At 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Larry Issac Edward, 30, of 276B Park Street was arrested on Park Street on a warrant.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

  • At 9:34 a.m., a caller reported finding what looked like a gun on the side of Washington Street. Police retrieved the air soft gun.
  • At 9:01 p.m., a Linwood Avenue resident reported that her house was broken into. An air conditioner was pushed in, and the person entered through the window. Her laptop was stolen.

Thursday, Aug. 23

  • At 11:07 a.m., an Anthony Road resident reported that a male, who appeared to be intoxicated, was going door to door asking for money. Police spoke to the male and let him know that he could not continue asking for money door to door.
  • At 1:41 p.m., a caller reported that her car was hit while parked on Main Street.
