He went on to say that RMLD is doing great things including implementing automated readers so someone does not have to go around to read meters and installing the best line separators.
RMLD is "making the right kind of investments in the infrastructure and it's quite impressive," he said.
As a new member of the board he is going to "get up to speed" on how they do power purchasing and distribution; learn how to get messages about energy conservation out to all generations of the public; consider other things that RMLD can do, in addition to what they are already doing, to improve reliability and to find other additional ways to keep RMLD physically conservative, providing the lowest possible rates to customers without losing services.
Stempeck, a 37-year Reading resident, works as a management consultant. He received his MBA with Honors from Boston University, a BSEE from MIT and CMAA designation from Loyola University.
RMLD Board Chairman Phil Pacino said in a press release, “I am highly impressed with the credentials John brings to the RMLD Board. I look forward to working with him.”
