Man Arrested In Reading Following Everett Shooting
Brian Green, 35, of Saugus is facing a murder charge in connection with the killing of Jarmahl Sutson, 38, of Lynn last month.
READING, MA — A 35-year-old Saugus man was arrested in Reading on Wednesday in connection with a murder in Everett just over three weeks ago, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Everett Chief of Police Steven Mazzie announced.
Brian Green is facing a murder charge after the DA’s office said he allegedly shot Jarmahl Sutson, 38, of Lynn on July 19.
Police responded just before 4:30 a.m. that night to an apartment on Central Avenue in Everett. There, they found Sutson unresponsive with what the DA described as an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators later learned that Green had lived at the apartment, the DA said. Green “was reportedly upset” about Suston’s relationship with his estranged wife, who still lived in the apartment, according to the DA.
Investigators reviewed video and other evidence to identify Green as the shooter, the DA said.
