North Reading Baseball Team Recognized at Fenway Tonight

The Varsity baseball team will be recognized Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

The will be recognized Tuesday night at Fenway Park. The team will report to Fenway at 6 p.m. before the Red Sox game begins at 7:10 p.m. 

The team was given complimentary tickets by the Red Sox and will be recognized at their game. The Hornets were asked to wear their jerseys and . The Red Sox also asked for action photos of the team to display on the jumbotron.

"It should be a great night for the kids and I'm sure they’ll be very excited about being on the field at Fenway," said Coach Frank Carey.

The Hornets will also be recognized by the Baltimore Orioles on August 15 during a game when they play the Red Sox. The Hornets will travel down to Maryland for a tour of Camden Yards, to meet Orioles player Ryan Flaherty and be recognized during the game. During the trip, the Hornets will also visit Washington D.C.

The team is working on fundraising for their trip. If you would like to donate, mail a check, made out to the NR Diamond Club, to NR Diamond Club c/o Frank Carey, 191 Park St., North Reading, MA.
