Last Friday the town conducted a CodeRED test call using the Town Wide Emergency Notification System. They sent out an All Call to registered residents and businesses. The call reached over 5,900 residents in under 13 minutes. According to North Reading Police, after the initial call, the system called all non-connected calls up to three times, which took over two hours.  If you did not receive the test call, visit the North Reading Police Department <a href="http://www.nrpd.org.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">website</a> and click on the CodeRED logo on the right side of the homepage. Enter your contact information, phone numbers and email addresses. Police say if you do not have internet access, ask a friend or family member to add you to the database or fill out a form at the or , or .
