The North Reading Parks and Recreation Concert and Barbecue Series is postponed until Thursday night. According to Parks and Recreation, they cancelled the event due to the weather. Thundershowers are in the forecast for the late afternoon and into the evening.  The event will start on Thursday at 5 p.m., Magic by George will start at 5:15 p.m., North Reading Community Chorale will perform at 6 p.m. and then the classic rock and roll band Full Turn Band will perform at 7:15 p.m. There will still be a free raffle and pony rides at the event. Barbecue items include pulled pork; sausage, pepper and onion; barbecue chicken sandwiches; burgers; hot dogs; grilled cheese; fruit cups; macaroni salad; coleslaw; watermelon slices; snacks and drinks. The items range in price from $1 to $5. The sponsors for the evening are and Wingate Healthcare.
