Orange Leaf Still Planning on Opening

The yogurt shop will be located on Main Street in the MF Charles building.

I know what you're thinking. Orange Leaf was supposed to open last summer! Well, they still plan on coming to town, but the opening date has not been determined yet.

Andover resident and Franchisee James Berberian will be opening the yogurt shop with his partner Jim Alex, but they are unsure of the exact date. According to Berberian, the duo is waiting for the MF Charles Building renovations to be completed.

"We’re excited to open in Reading," he said.

They anticipate that the building will be done within the next month and then they can start work on the shop, which is located in the space that the clock store used to be in. They expect that their work will take about six weeks, Berberian said.

The pair plans to make the interior look like other Orange Leaf shops. They will be installing a kitchen, bathroom and indoor seating area. There will be eight yogurt machines with 16 flavors to choose from. They will also be working on an outdoor seating area that will be located next to the Bunratty Tavern. They will share the space with the tavern.

"Their [space] will be on one end of the building and we’ll be on the other," he said.
