Police: Credit Card Fraud Reported in Reading

Police also reported a former employee sending threats to a company and a down tree shuttered a roadway.

In the latest police log from Monday, June 15, Reading residents reported a credit card fraud scheme and several several motor vehicle complaints.

Here are excerpts from the Monday, June 15 Reading Police log:

At 2:13 a.m., police receive reports of loud arguing in the area of an apartment complex on Lakeview Avenue and Beech Street.

At 8:37 a.m., Reading Police reported a 2005 blue Toyota in the area of Riverside and Sunnyside avenues possibly looking through trash.

At 11:14 a.m., Reading Police said two people came into the lobby reporting credit card fraud scam by telephone.

At 12:57 p.m., police reported a company was receiving threats from a former employee.

At 2:25 p.m., a white SUV was blocking the cross walk at 45 Temple St. and Parker Middle School.

At 4:27 p.m., a party entered the lobby reporting a past hit-and-run.

At 6:29 p.m., a vehicle was struck while parked at 8 Back Bay Court.

At 9:55 p.m., police reported a 2008 gray Nissan Rogue driving erratically near Woburn and Lincoln streets.

At 11:03 p.m., police reported a road closure at Mill Street and Short Street due to a down tree.
