Police Keeping Eye on Bagel World Traffic
Safety plan put in place with Bagel World management seems to be working, according to police chief.

Reading, MA - Police are monitoring a plan that was put in place earlier this month to help ease traffic and safety concerns near the Bagel World on Main Street.
To help speed along traffic at the drive-through, which has backed onto Main Street, especially on weekends, Bagel World now only takes express orders from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A full menu is available inside during that time.

Police Chief Mark Segalla recently addressed the traffic issues and the safety plan on RCTV's Community Conversation.
Segalla said the plan has seemed to help traffic in the area, especially on weekends.

"It seems to be keeping the traffic off Main Street," said Segalla. "We just want people to realize they can't stop or stand on Main Street. It's a public safety hazard and one of the biggest problems we've had over the last couple of years is accidents in front of Bagel World. We don't want to see a life lost because people were waiting to get a bagel."
