In the latest police log from Tuesday, July 7, Reading Police reported complaints of suspicious persons in town and an individual was arrested after being found slumped over in their vehicle.

At 5:35 a.m., police reported a tree down in the roadway in the area of Pearl Street and Eastway Lane.

At 11:39 a.m., fire officials were notified of a small gas spill at a local gas station at 295 Salem St.

At 11:59 a.m., police received a welfare of resident check after a report of a man walking on railroad tracks in the area of Willow Street.

At 4:12 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious man sitting on a retaining wall at 50 Chute St.

At 4:40 p.m., police issued five citations for speeding between 4:40 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. in the area of Charles Street and Charleslawn Cemetery.

At 6:06 p.m., a man was arrested at 650 Main St., at the rear of CVS, after police were informed of a male slumped behind the wheel.

At 7:10 p.m., a man reported his motor vehicle was stolen from 45 Temple St. and Parker Middle School.

At 8:33 p.m., the Department of Public Works water callman was notified of sewage back-up at 341 West St.
